Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at First Baptist is an opportunity for fellowship and worship for people in our church and community. The Music Ministry presents two Cantatas per year, at Easter and Christmas, as well as a summer choir for members of the South Boston Community. At First Baptist, there is a choir for all ages to participate in. 

Chancel Choir 

The Chancel choir meets at 5:30 on Tuesday evenings and is an integral part of Sunday morning worship. They perform a wide variety of music.

Praise Choir

The Praise Choir is a smaller group that sings a variety of contemporary music and chamber music. They participate in worship several times a year. The Praise Choir rehearses after church every other Sunday.

Children's Choir 

The Children's Choir is for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5. They perform in worship every few months and present a play or musical once or twice each year. The Children's Choir meets on Monday afternoons from 4:00 to 4:45.

Handbell Choir

The handbell choir is composed of youth and adult ringers.
