How to Use Online-Giving

  1. After opening the internet, navigate to the Church Website: www.fbcsouthboston.org

  2. Once on the Church Website, you will see a link near the top of the website titled “Online Giving.” Click on that link; once you click on the link, you will be taken to a webpage that says “Online Giving at First Baptist Church.”

    • If you are accessing the Church Website via a Phone, you will need to click on the Menu Icon at the top right-hand side of the page. Clicking will open a menu and “Online Giving will be one of the options you may click on.

  3. About halfway down the Online Giving webpage, you will see a red box that says: GIVE. Click on the red box that says GIVE. It will redirect you to a new webpage (the URL of the new website should be onrealm.org).

  4. On the new webpage, you will see a place where you can enter what amount you would like to give. Beside where you enter an amount, you will see a “drop-down menu” that will allow you to designate where you would like that gift to go. If you would like to make a gift to the general offering, select the “General Fund.” If you would like to make a gift towards the Capital Campaign, please select “Capital Campaign.”

  5. Below these two fields, you may choose whether you would like to make this a “One-Time Gift,” meaning you are only making the gift today, or whether you would like to set this up as a recurring gift. You may choose to make the same gift to the church Every Week, Every Two Weeks, Every Month, Twice a Month, or once Every Three Months.

  6. Once you have decided how often you’d like to make your online contribution to the Church, you may choose what date your gift will be made. If you set up “Recurring Gifts,” you may also choose what date your recurring gifts will end.

  7. Finally, you will need to enter an email address, so that our software will be able to send you a receipt of your gift. Enter your email where it says “Email” then click the blue button that says continue.

  8. Once you have entered your email and clicked continue, you will be taken to a new webpage where you can enter your Bank Account or Credit/Debit Card information.

    • If you chose to give via Credit or Debit Card, you will need the following information:

      • Card Number

      • Name on Card

      • Expiration Date

      • Billing Address

    • If you choose to give via a Bank Account, you will need the following information:

      • Routing Number

      • Account Number

      • Billing Name and Address

    • There are fees associated with online giving, at the bottom of the page where you enter your credit card or bank account information, you are given a choice to cover the fees for your transaction (fees range between 2.6-3.5% of your gift if you are using a debit/credit card or .9% if you are making a gift directly from your bank account). If you elect not to cover the fees, the Church will have to pay those fees from your overall gift.

  9. Once you have finished all the above steps, there will be a Blue Button at the bottom right-hand side of your screen that says: “Give” and also the amount of your gift. Click on that button to submit your gift. For safety purposes, you may be prompted to prove you are not a robot by selecting certain images from a selection of images before your gift will process.
